Last week The Charles Camilleri Foundation donated £5,000 to it’s charity of the month, the Izzy Twinkletoes Appeal.

The FreshStart Living office was brightened with the smiles of young Izzy Platt and her twin sister Gabby when they visited to collect the huge cheque from the Charles Camilleri Foundation on Thursday.

Four-year-old Izzy Platt visited the  office, along with sister Gabby and her mother Stacey, to meet all the staff that had helped raise the money.

Izzy, from Preston, suffers from cerebral palsy in her legs which means she can’t put her feet flat on the ground. She needs to raise £50,000 for an operation and in September,  FreshStart Living’s charity, The Charles Camilleri Foundation,  raised £5.000 for Izzy’s Twinkle Toes Appeal.

Izzy needs to raise £50,000 to pay for surgery known as Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy which can only be performed by specialist neurosurgeon Dr T.S. Park and his team at St Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri, USA.

A share of FreshStart Living’s profit each month goes to The Charles Camilleri Foundation which supports local charities as well as provides grants to Salford entrepreneurs.

Last month the Foundation chose Izzy’s Twinkletoes Appeal as their charity of the month and the £5,000 leaves Izzy with a total of £31.650 towards her operation.

The Platt family met up with charity trustees, Phil Wright and John Camilleri to collect the cheque. It created a real buzz around the office and all the members of staff were really pleased to know that their hardwork and efforts in raising the money were going to such a good cause.
