About

Charles Camilleri spent all of his life as an entrepreneur, he valued hard work and dedication and rejected the idea that life had limitations. He started off working with his father John and brother Harry on many ventures in and around the Salford area.

Their busineses ranged from selling firewood to cafes, furniture shops, record stores and letting quality rooms and board accomodation.

Various enterprises were replicated over the years by the younger generations but with out the solid business foundations and being encouraged to work hard and never give up, these ventures would never have got off the ground.

The Charles Camilleri Foundation has been set up to support young people in the Salford and Greater Manchester area as they set up businesses and social enterprises and will also support local charitable causes.

Grants are provided by the trust to enable young people to set up the means to support themselves with a view to tackling poverty and disadvantage in the areas in which they live.
